On September 4th, Mount Union Soccer had their first win of the season, with a score of 7-1, against Forbes Road. The starting attack had strategic plays that helped them break through Forbes Road’s starting defense.
Three of the seven goals were scored by junior Jamon Ranck. One goal each was scored by juniors Messiah Madison and AJ Scott and seniors Avin Knable and Caden Feather. Freshman Andrew Scott and senior Jacik Hess each recorded 2 assists as well.
Mount Union’s starting attack had great positional plays. While Mount Union’s starting defense’s tactical intelligence made it extremely difficult for Forbes Road to score. Overall, the team worked together and had good communication on the field to be able to pull out their first win of the season.
