Location: Mount Union, PA (Serving portions of Huntingdon and Mifflin Counties)
Enrollment: Approximately 1,100 students

The Mount Union Area School District is seeking a visionary, results-oriented leader to serve as Superintendent. The district, a blend of rural and suburban communities, is committed to academic progress and student success.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

•  Utilize district data to promote an aggressive change agenda.  Excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to work with local community members to advance an academic agenda.·         Strong technology skills, including knowledge of implementing technology programs in schools.

  ·         A strong knowledge of teacher and administrative assessments, including the ability to serve as a professional development trainer for district initiatives.

  ·         Proven experience in leading high quality administrative and faculty teams.

  ·         A strong budget and finance background.

  ·         Have an aptitude for working in a culturally diverse community with a wide range of socioeconomic levels.

  ·         Lead, manage, and coach district leaders; demonstrate leadership skills that have motivated others to assume leadership roles.

  ·         Drive organizational excellence through a demonstrated record of improving academic performance and instructional leadership.

  ·         Oversee the development and implementation of the district’s budget, aligned with system wide goals and major initiatives.

Requirements:

• Valid Superintendent Letter of Eligibility

• Prior administrative experience

Compensation:
Regionally competitive, based on experience.
